Creating the perfect mix of your song starts with a well-treated room to accurately hear the true sonic landscape and eliminate reflections or excessive low to low-mid frequency build-up in your mix room. Low-end build-up can contribute to a muddy-sounding mix. Next, ear training is crucial to accurately assess the wide sonic frequency ranges so volume and EQ can be properly applied along with panning and compression.
